ITV Sheet Information

What is the technical sheet

The technical sheet in Spain, is a document that contains important technical information about a vehicle. It is a legal requirement for all vehicles in Spain to have a technical sheet, which must be kept with the vehicle’s registration documents and presented to authorities upon request.

What is on the sheet?

  1. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN): A unique 17-digit code that identifies the vehicle.
  2. Vehicle make and model: The manufacturer and model of the vehicle.
  3. Engine type and displacement: The type of engine and the size of the engine cylinder.
  4. Fuel type: The type of fuel that the vehicle uses, such as gasoline or diesel.
  5. Maximum speed: The maximum speed that the vehicle is capable of reaching.
  6. Maximum power: The maximum amount of power that the engine can produce.
  7. Dimensions: The length, width, and height of the vehicle.
  8. Weight: The weight of the vehicle, both empty and when fully loaded.
  9. Seating capacity: The number of seats in the vehicle.
  10. Emission levels: The levels of pollutants emitted by the vehicle.

The technical sheet is an important document that provides information about the technical characteristics of a vehicle. It is required for a number of purposes, including registration, transfer of ownership, and modification of the vehicle.

If you don’t have the sheet, here’s what to do

If you have lost the technical inspection certificate (ITV) of your car in Spain, you will need to obtain a duplicate copy. You can do this by following these steps:

  1. Contact the testing station where your car was last inspected. You can find the contact information on the sticker on your car’s windshield or by searching online.
  2. Provide the testing station with your car’s registration number and other identifying information. They will be able to retrieve your inspection record and issue a duplicate certificate.
  3. Pay the fee for the duplicate certificate. The cost of a duplicate certificate varies depending on the testing station, but it typically ranges from 15 to 25 euros.
  4. Once you have obtained the duplicate certificate, make sure to keep it in a safe place and carry it with you when you are driving your car in Spain.

If you have lost any other required documents for your car, such as the vehicle registration certificate or insurance certificate, you will need to contact the appropriate government agency or insurance company to obtain a duplicate copy. The process for obtaining duplicate copies of these documents may vary depending on your location and circumstances.
